forward isn’t obvious.

Strategic direction at the moments that matter most.

At acquisition, when an investment thesis must become an executable strategy. Mid-cycle, when the original path needs to be reconsidered.

MPH Advisors works alongside CEOs, founders, and private equity investors to determine what enterprise they should be building, what must change, what should be preserved, and how to move forward.

WHEN TO ENGAGE

The moments that matter most.

A compelling investment thesis is only the beginning. And even a sound strategy can lose relevance as markets, competitors, and organizations evolve. MPH Advisors works with CEOs and investors at two critical moments.

01 · AT ACQUISITION & EARLY OWNERSHIP

Defining the next chapter.

The transaction is approaching close or has just completed. The investment thesis is compelling. Now the CEO and investors must align on what they are actually building.

We help translate the thesis into a clear strategic direction, a practical value-creation agenda, and an operating model that preserves what made the business attractive while preparing it for its next stage.

02 · MID-CYCLE STRATEGIC REASSESSMENT

Rethinking the path forward.

Growth has slowed. The market has changed. Acquisitions have not delivered the expected value. Or the organization has become more complicated without becoming more capable.

We help distinguish symptoms from underlying causes, reconsider the strategic choices that matter, and realign the business around a more effective path to value creation.

WHAT THE WORK PRODUCES

Clarity that becomes a plan.

A focused strategic engagement can produce an aligned enterprise thesis, a value-creation agenda, operating-model priorities, and a practical execution roadmap. The work may then continue through ongoing CEO advisory and coaching.

WHERE WE HELP

Different challenges. A common need for clarity.

THE VALUE OF EXPERIENCE

The mountain is different.
The challenges are familiar.

No two businesses face precisely the same circumstances. Yet beneath unfamiliar challenges are patterns that experience makes easier to recognize.

Familiarity doesn’t make the work easy. It helps identify what matters sooner, make better decisions, and move forward with confidence.

01

See the Terrain

Look beyond the obvious.

Understanding the whole picture—markets, strategy, operations, and people—reveals the connections that matter and the real obstacles to progress.

02

Choose the Route

Know when to push forward. And when to change course.

Not every opportunity is worth pursuing. Experience helps distinguish the risks worth taking, the obstacles worth overcoming, and when a different route offers a better chance of success.

03

Earn the Trust

People choose to make the journey.

Meaningful change requires understanding what motivates people, what concerns them, and what gives them confidence. Trust makes difficult decisions possible and creates the commitment to move forward together.

04

Make Progress

Turn decisions into results.

Clarity matters only when it leads to action. Focus on what matters, get the right people moving, remove obstacles, and maintain momentum—adjusting course when conditions demand it.

ABOUT MPH ADVISORS

Experience matters most when the answers aren’t obvious.

MPH Advisors is an independent advisory firm working selectively with private equity investors, founders, and CEOs facing consequential business decisions.

Built on decades of experience leading, building, acquiring, and transforming businesses, the firm brings the perspective of those who have been accountable for outcomes—not simply responsible for recommendations.

That experience has been shaped as much by adversity as by success. Growth doesn’t always follow the plan. Acquisitions don’t always deliver their promise. Markets change, and decisions that once made sense sometimes need to be reconsidered.

The approach is personal, direct, and pragmatic. Practical experience and proven disciplines are applied to the circumstances, rather than imposed upon them. The focus is on understanding what matters, making sound decisions, and helping leadership teams move forward.

The relationship is built on trust, candid dialogue, and a shared commitment to results.
